About Tess

I love kids! I have four younger siblings all within 10 years of my age. We are very close and as the oldest, I babysat often growing up. I have experience caring for children from other families as well. I am studying Human Services at MassBay Community College on a part-time basis because I love people and have a passion for helping. I want to implement positive changes in this world. I think that childcare is a great way to do that. I believe in staying active and having fun with children (not a big TV person). I love arts and crafts and coming up with new and exciting projects. I have experience caring for infants and I'm also pretty good with helping with homework for school-aged children. Children are like sponges in many ways and absorb whatever is around them, which is why it is so important, when around children, to present yourself as a role model and positive influence in their lives. I feel that I have as much to learn from a child as they may have to learn from me. I also very much enjoy caring for and being around animals. They provide a certain sense of serenity to life. They deserve the utmost love and affection! n I have experience dog-sitting and walking as well as taking care of my own cats (whom I LOVE). Right now I'm a Shift Manager at Starbucks, but am looking to work either as a part-time or full-time Nanny/Babysitter. My availability can be flexible and will change to open availability within two weeks of a full-time job opportunity. I'm also currently completely free Tuesday-Thursday for babysitting/pet care! I have a valid driver's license, but no vehicle of my own currently.
