I have been working in the field of senior care for 10 years. The clients I have cared for in the last decade ranged from mental to physical care needs. I am comfortable with Alzheimer's and other Dementias patients (3 references pertaining to this type of care are located below) by means of following family's directions or coming up with the care plan myself. I have also worked with physical limitations, including ALS. I am a quick and willing learner of new skills. I am European; besides English I'm fluent in Slovenian and Srbo-Croatian. I have ALS, which means I have a number of specific requirements and they're prone to frequent change, sometimes daily. Tina learned the basics very quickly. But more important, she works with an intuitiveness that is hard to find in caregivers. Once she learned the basic routine, she's been able to anticipate what I might need next, even if it's not exactly the same as the day before. That quality is invaluable, since I can no longer speak.
