Language English / Japanese / U. S. Citizen Hello, my name is Tomoko. I had been a caregiver to my mother-in law for over one year when her health took a turn in the past prior to her passing. She was 91 years old and had suffered a stroke 10 years prior and had limited mobility. She was also diabetic and suffered from mild dementia. As a daughter-in-law, I provided her with daily exercise and companionship. I would also prepare meals, I also provided her with grooming nail care and would assist her when necessary. Up until her death, I found the experience very gratifying's, relaxed and content. She was well-cared for. The following year I began working for another local Winter Park resident. The daughter's mother who had dementia was in need of daily companionship, meal preparation. Being a native Japanese woman, our very nature is one of kindness and gentleness and respectfulness towards our elders. I would provide the same care and consideration to your loved one.
