About Valerie

Hello! I was a teacher for 7 years before becoming a stay at home mom with my two small children (2 and almost 1. I have my masters in education and in my former job, I taught both middle school and high school English and Social Studies. I am certified in both subjects, but also feel comfortable with Science and Math as well. I also have experience tutoring elementary-aged children for several years. I have a safe, comfortable home and I would love to open my home to your student OR come to your home provided I can secure my own childcare for my two kids or if they would be able to accompany me. I know that most schools are going virtual this fall and wanted to offer a safe, learning space for your child. We are in uncertain times and I realize that many things are up in the air for the upcoming school year. I am very flexible and creative in figuring out a plan of action for this school year.
