About Vanessa

Throughout high school, I earned money by babysitting for various local families. My senior year of high school I was a Caregiver within the Golds Gym Fun time Center, where I would watch kids ranging from 6 months to 13 years old and at peak two Caregivers would be caring for 18+ kids. My Freshman year of college I was an Education Director at the Boys and Girls Club of America where I assisted kids from first grade to high school on their homework assignments. This job also entailed serving snacks/dinner for all kids, developing and implementing outdoor activities, as well as assisting on club field trips. My most previous experience was an in-house nanny spending three years working for an on-call doctor. I cared for his two daughters aged 7 and 9 when I first started, spending weekends or a week at a time providing them all they needed. This is where I gained my wonderful hands-on experience working with a child with down syndrome.
