About Abby

Hello! I am an experienced caregiver who loves working with children and helping them flourish. I have been babysitting for families with children of all ages since I was in 6th grade. The past two summers I have continued to build upon my childcare experience by working at two different summer camps. In the summer of 2021, I worked as a teaching assistant for the city of Cleveland's summer learning experience. In this role, I managed a classroom of 15 2nd-graders and planned fun, educational lessons for them on all major subjects. Then this past summer I worked as a lifeguard/camp counselor at a residential camp in upstate Wisconsin. Here I taught swimming lessons to campers from ages 6-16. I also took care of a cabin of 12, 6th-grade campers. All these experiences have had such a profound impact on my life. Not only is it extremely fulfilling to help a child reach their full potential in a loving, safe environment but I have also learned so many new skills along the way.
