About Allison

Hi there, my name is Allison! I am 27 and currently a freelance Sign Language Interpreter, working mostly remotely. Much of my experience has been working special needs high schoolers and as a Teaching Assistant in school for Deaf/hard of hearing students. I am passionate about fostering an environment where children can build their language, enhance their social skills, explore and be creative. It's so important to me to uplift with my words and to create an environment where people (of any age!) feel safe, worthy, heard and cared for. With over 7 years experience working with children and young people from preschool aged to high school, I place a great emphasis on exercise/movement, healthy eating and being outdoors. More than happy to teach your little ones some ASL! I am in my first year of grad school (online)!! You can always find me exploring coffee shops, museums or at the gym! I love learning languages, reading, singing, dancing & baking! Can't wait to connect with you! (:
