About Allyson

I have been in the education field for 9+ years. I started as a classroom teacher, received my Master's degree in literacy and am now a state certified literacy specialist. I have worked as a reading interventionist and a literacy coach. I have experience with students in grades K-4. Although I am most experienced in literacy, I am also available to tutor elementary math and had provided math interventions throughout my 5 years in the classroom. Working with students who need an extra boost is my passion. I'm a firm believer that all children can learn when they are met where they are and taught in a way that suits their individual needs. I am available for tutoring in my home after 3:30 on weekdays and have more flexibility on weekends.
