I'm sure a lot of parents are struggling to juggle working from home and structuring play and school for their children, and I can definitely help with that! Until NY schools shut down due to Covid in 2020, I had been working as an after-school and camp chess teacher in Brooklyn, responsible for running after-care programs for students anywhere between 3 to 12 years of age. I absolutely loved my job working with kids, but the program closed due to the virus. Last fall I spent time in Colorado as a live-in nanny for a family with two boys, ages 9 and 12. While there I worked remotely for the Star Institute, a premier research, treatment, and education center for children and adults in need of support with sensory processing.
