About Ashley

I have been teaching for 11 years. I am qualified as an English as a Second Language (ESOL/MLL) teacher for Kindergarten through 12th grade and as both an English Language Arts and Social Studies teacher for grades 5th through 9th. I am an inclusion teacher with experience teaching both gifted and exceptional learners including emotional/behavioral and learning disabled children. I have taught students from ages Kindergarten through 21 years old and feel that my strength is meeting each learner where they are academically and designing meaningful and effective learning experiences that foster both academic and personal growth. My belief is that the education of children and young adults is of the upmost importance. I am also passionate about creative expression, play time, and learning life skills throughout childhood. Additionally, I am conversationally bilingual in Spanish due to my experiences teaching English as a Second Language.
