About Brian

I like working with kids because there is nothing more rewarding to me than seeing a child have a "lightbulb moment" when they are able to grasp a concept that they are struggling with. I have worked with students with one-to-one tutoring for two years, in an intensive reading program. I have extensive training and college coursework in reading and math tutoring, and have seven years of childcare experience, three of which are in elementary classrooms. I have current criminal background checks and full childcare clearances for Pennsylvania, Delaware, and North Carolina. I am also First Aid and CPR certified. I started working with kids when I was in middle school, volunteering in my church's nursery to provide childcare for parents attending church events. In high school, I ran a summer camp in my backyard, took child development classes, and participated in a student teaching program. I am currently pursuing a degree in elementary education, so I can teach.
