About Penny

I have been a elementary teacher for over 20 years to help students become successful learners, readers, and mathematicians. I enjoy working with students and breaking down academic areas of difficulty so they can easily understand and remember strategies. I have taught and tutored students from preschool through fourth grade. I have tutored students in math, reading, writing, and organization skills. I am able to give students varies strategies, tools, and fun ways to remember and apply concepts learned. As a teacher, I have taught Foundations, Words Their Way, and Making Words phonic programs that increase vocabulary, phonic skills, and reading skills. I can tailor a tutoring program by assessing your child's needs and set goals for your child to keep track of their progress. I love working with children and watching them grow into confident learners. Lastly, I have all my educational clearances and can provide them to you if you decide that I am the right fit for your child.
