About Deirdre

I have endorsements in Language Arts and English as a Second Language, a BA in Education, a MA in Education, and a Teaching Credential from California. My experience includes teaching all grades PK - 5th, special education, ESL, and Montessori. For the past three years I have worked as a private educator. As a private educator, I was the director and head teacher of my own homeschool pod for 12 kids ages 5 - 10. In this role I was responsible for all administration duties, curriculum planning, and teaching. My philosophy of teaching is all about student-led education, intrinsic motivation, independent thinking, and a love for learning. With my unique skill set and experience, I am confident in my ability to create positive and impactful learning environments for students of all backgrounds as a private educator.
