About Elizabeth

First off, I love children! I have 14 years of teaching and tutoring experience in diverse settings in the Boston Area. For the past 18 months, I have been teaching reading, math, and speech intervention one -on -one to students with special needs at LindaMood-Bell in Newton, MA. I also have 7 years of nannying experience, which included tutoring. I have experience teaching all subjects across grades 1-6 and teaching reading and writing in grades 1-8. I have taught special education and regular education, including small group pull-outs or delivering one-on-one services to students on IEPs and 504's. I have worked as a fierce special education advocate for a family in the Brookline Public School System for the past year. My unique experience of teaching students I advocate for has helped families achieve a more comprehensive understanding of their child's needs, which greater informs the school district of specific interventions, rather than just petitioning for more service hours.
