About Ella

I teach 5th grade at the Potomac School in McLean, specializing in teaching Language Arts and Social Studies. I also have experience teaching an Art Class twice a week to a variety of age levels. I have experience working with students at a variety of skill levels and who have different learning disabilities. Additionally, I graduated with honors in history from Davidson College, where I wrote and defended a graduate-level thesis. I am interested in tutoring all subjects for grades 3-6, and language arts/social studies/history for grades 7-12. Outside of academics, I am interested in teaching Piano lessons. I have played piano for 17 years, playing in chamber music groups and at different student showcases. I am most interested in working with beginners.
