About Julianne

My name is Julianne and I would love to work part-time as a Spanish tutor. I majored in Spanish in college at St. Lawrence University, and I studied abroad in both Mexico and Spain and I recently lived in Ecuador teaching English for 9 months. Being bilingual has been invaluable in each of my work experiences since graduating college; thus, I feel energized to tutor young people in Spanish, as it is an incredibly important skill to have in our society today. I worked as a Spanish tutor and teaching assistant in college, and during my service as an Americorps member with City Year Denver, I provided students with academic and social emotional support in a bilingual classroom. I previously worked for full time for Denver Kids Inc, where I provided students with academic and social emotional support, and communicated with their families in Spanish in order to connect them with relevant community resources.
