About Karin

Hello! I'm a passionate educator with over 20+ years of experience. I have taught K-college aged children and adults. I currently teach 2nd grade at a private school in San Francisco. Previously, I was teaching an undergraduate STEM course to students that were minoring in education at The University of California, Berkeley. I have extensive training in both math and language arts. I'm Orton Gillingham trained, as well. I'm looking forward to working with you and your family! I'd describe my personality as engaging, dedicated, patient. I like tutoring because working one on one you really get to target areas that may be missed in a large group setting. I'm looking for families that value education. I started tutoring 20+ years ago. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family, I have 2 boys. I love to hike with my dog and travel. My skills include reading, writing, and math.
