About Kayla

Hi, my name is Kayla! I majored in early childhood development at university and have an ESL/TEFL teaching certification. I spent the last year and a half working as a teacher at a multicultural Montessori preschool in Irvine, CA, where I taught art classes and English as a second language. I recently spent the summer abroad in Europe, traveling and doing 1:1 ESL teaching. In addition to teaching and travel, I've been nannying for the last 8 years. During that time I've met one-time care needs, part-time needs, as well as full time care. Additionally, I've had the privilege to provide care for a family consistently for 6+ years, and have gotten to watch their kids grow from babies to now 5 & 6-year-olds. I've worked with kids 0 and up and I am well experienced in everything from newborn care to fixing meals to transporting to/from school and sports and helping with bedtime/morning routines. I am CPR certified as well as a certified mandated reporter in the state of CA.
