I've had multiple experiences with tutoring whether it was short encounters with classmates or actual hands on tutoring with students in my school/family friends. I vividly remember during quarantine I was given the opportunity to help my mom's boss' son with his school work. He was a good student but he had trouble with laziness and often copied and pasted answers so his grades ranged from C's-F's. By the end of his term we were able to raise his grades from C's to B's, solely due to how drastically low his grades were. In the process I was able to show him tips while completing his work and how to study efficiently. Through the years I've been wanting to get back into tutoring because for the longest time I've wanted to be a teacher but realized it should be more of a hobby than a lifestyle. I truly enjoy teaching and am most comfortable with anything STEM related, and definitely leaning towards Math curriculum.
