About Kendra

Hi, I'm Kendra! I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Oregon, where I received my BA in Spanish. During my undergraduate years, I participated in two study abroad programs, one in Brazil and the other in México. I then went on to receive my Teaching Credential and Master's in Teaching from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a Bilingual Certificate. I have spent the last five years teaching in the general education elementary classroom. I have taught second & third grades, with two of those years teaching in both Spanish and English in an immersion program. I have experience with students learning English as a second language and students with an IEP. I have taught students with a variety academic skills. My priority is for my students to feel successful, confident, and excited about learning. I always differentiate my instruction, providing multiple means of engagement with the lesson, scaffolds and supports, as well as hands-on activities.
