About Laura

I have extensive experience in providing warm, engaging care to children of all ages. Beginning at age 13, I offered babysitting to families with 2-3 children between the ages of 5 and 10. While attending Boston University, I served as a nanny for 3-year-old twins and a 6-year-old. I have also interned at a therapeutic summer camp for children ages 5-14 with emotional and behavioral concerns. In addition, I have worked in mental health and health promotion for 10+ years. I have worked for the National Alliance on Mental Illness, Georgetown University, and in a residential home for adults with mental health concerns. I am currently employed as a social worker, providing outpatient therapy to children and adults. My personality as been described as "bright and colorful." I love connecting with and caring for others! My kindness, empathy, creativity, problem-solving skills, communication, and dependability all support my ability to provide fun, nurturing childcare.
