Let me start by saying this: my son primarily uses a wheelchair. It’s seen on my profile pic, written in the job application, and he goes with me if I meet a candidate. We met to discuss the job (that she applied for). During the meeting, she told me she was a stay at home mom and would need to bring her daughter with her. Wasn’t the best idea but I needed the help so I agreed. I asked what her pay rate would be, she said $10-$12. I agreed to $12. I asked her what the minimum amount of hours she would be willing to work would be and she said she’s not working and would be okay with any amount. We agreed to work together, shook hands, and parted ways. I reached out later in the week to make sure we were still good. Two days later I get the “I’ve been thinking” text. 😒…she would like more money (she set her price & was aware of the total number of hours) for her family and she’s keeping her options open blah, blah, blah. Two days before starting, she quit. But get this..she used her daughter being there as an excuse for not being able to cater to my son one on one. Maybe she’ll be good for you. I’ll never know because she quit before she even started 🤷🏽‍♀️
