About Melanie

I'd describe my personality as kind, patient, and organized. I like tutoring because I want to help students bridge any gaps they have in their learning. I'm looking for a job that allows me to consistently tutor elementary aged students over a short period of time to help bridge any gaps or prepare them for the next grade level. I started tutoring when I became a teacher over 13 years ago. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my own young children. One thing you should know about me is I am very flexible and willing to work with your needs. My skills include knowing the big picture/end goal, scaffolding learning, and transferring independence to the student. I am also very caring and positive.
