About Regina

I'm an experienced and caring caregiver who received my training through real life experience. I was my older husband's caregiver for over four years after he had multiple mini-strokes and heart attacks at a relatively young age. First he struggled with his balance and walking, then eventually ended up in a wheelchair. He was diagnosed with Parkinsonism, atherosclerosis and vascular dementia. He is now in a nursing home. Prior to taking care of my husband I worked part-time for a lovely elderly woman, a neighbor, who was slowly losing cognitive function. I did yardwork, light housekeeping, cooking, errands, and some "handyman" repairs, etc. We also enjoyed talking. When I was a young woman I worked for a family whose mother was dying of cancer and later for a family whose mother had died of cancer. I did cooking, cleaning and helped as needed. Caregiving comes to me naturally. I have a compassionate heart! I get a great deal of satisfaction out of helping and caring for people.
