I have been working with children since I was 12 years old, and taken multiple courses over the years to further my knowledge of child development and care. My duties and responsibilities are discussed with the parent(s) before the start of the job. Often it would include driving, meals, activities, cleaning up after the kids, and duties mainly related to the children. Some jobs would be for date nights and happen maybe once a week which fell more in line with babysitting. Whereas being a nanny was a full-time job that also included educational lessons, a consistent AM/PM routine, physical education, music time, and hands-on activities. Age ranges have fallen between 6 weeks old to 7 years old, and some experience with ages 8 to 16. College educated.
