About Ty

My name is Ty! I have a wide range of experience working with kids in different settings. I have taught music lessons, tutored, directed camps, led art workshops, coordinated volunteer experiences, and babysat. I am positive, outgoing, creative, and enjoy children of all ages. I love outdoor education, staying busy with activities, and engaging with learning or creative crafts and projects. My main experience comes from working in a summer camp setting and 1-on-1 lessons in piano and tutoring. I worked for 8 years at Camp Explorer in Broomfield, CO as a Camp Director, coordinating age groups of roughly 45-50 children. I was responsible for engagement, planning, medical needs, special accommodations, and safety. I also acted as a para for a number of years and worked closely with different children with special needs including Autism, ADHD, High Anxiety, and Down Syndrome. I feel comfortable tutoring in most subjects with emphasis in sciences, mathematics, English, and Writing.
