About Whitney

Hello, my name is Whitney; I'm a 24-year-old who loves children, family values, arts and crafts, playing games, exploring, and being happy. Most of my child care experience comes from my own family. I was thrust into a position of responsibility at a young age, as my mother passed from cancer and was survived by myself and my three younger siblings. My dad was hit hard by the loss of my mom, so hard that I knew I needed to step in and assume responsibility for their care, as I was the oldest child in the home at the time. I managed all facets of the household, from cooking and cleaning to getting everyone prepared for school each day, to putting everyone down at night. There were three children who had special needs, which required that I monitor and administer insulin for diabetes, as well as ADHD medication. I have a vehicle for transportation.
